Martin Cole
Welcome to my design portfolio. I am a mechanical engineering student at Oklahoma State University graduating this May. My experience spans from designing and prototyping unique inventions to contributing to class one medical device testing. With a background in SolidWorks, machining, and Lean Six Sigma practices, I bring both technical skill and hands-on experience to every project.
Experience
My two years of engineering experience at the Oklahoma State New Product Development Center has been focused around taking ideas from concept to reality through a hands-on, design for manufacturing approach. I’ve worked directly with clients in face-to-face meetings to understand their needs, communicate technical ideas clearly, and deliver practical solutions. I’m highly skilled in SolidWorks for both 3D modeling and creating detailed engineering drawings, and I’ve applied those designs through a wide range of manufacturing techniques—including lathe and mill machining, MIG welding, and both additive and subtractive manufacturing processes. From initial prototyping to final testing, I’ve been involved in every stage of the engineering design process, consistently delivering functional, testable solutions for real-world applications.
